Grade 2 News

Mathematics comes Alive!!

For the past two weeks the Grade 2 students have been learning about measurements. Students thoroughly learnt how to use the ruler and understand centimetres. They drew lines of certain lengths and made shapes by measuring each side so they were equal. Later they made the metre ruler and measured items around the classroom to assist in further learning. Bothe cm’s and m’s were a fun topic that students grasped quite well. The whole school Money trail gave the Grade 2 students the opportunity to use their knowledge and experience measuring larger quantities of lines. It was a fun and exciting hands-on experience that led students to liven up their learning outside the classroom environment.

The Grade 2 students and teachers would like to take this opportunity to thank the SRC Teachers and Students in organising this fundraising event.

Well done everyone!
